Virginia Giuffre, who claims to have been a victim of Jeffrey Epstein's sexual trafficking ring, is suing Prince Andrew for sexual assault. ABC News. Giuffre alleges that Prince Andrew had sex with her while she was under the age of 18 at Epstein's mansion in New York, as well as in London and the US Virgin Islands. She said she was directed to do so by Jeffrey Epstein and his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre moved now because the statute of limitations had almost run out in the case. Prince Andrew has always denied the allegations and has made no comments on the current lawsuit. He has also failed to cooperate with police in the Ghislaine Maxwell case.
My Comment:
Just a quick update for an important but now largely ignored story. It looks like Virginia Giuffre has had enough of Prince Andrew and is now suing him. I think it is more than justified given that he certainly looks guilty and has so far not cooperated with authorities.
Prince Andrew is probably the biggest person caught up in the Epstein scandal, with the probable exception of former President Bill Clinton. He stands accused of having sex with an underaged girl that was trafficked outside of state lines. In a sane world, with the evidence available, he would be charged with that crime and would be sitting in jail right now awaiting trial.
However, it seems pretty clear that Prince Andrew will not serve a day in prison. He has faced some consequences. His public image is totally destroyed, though more because of his disastrous interview with the BBC than because of the allegations against him. He also has been pushed out of public duties from the royal family. But that seems to be the extent of his punishment.
Under these circumstances I think Giuffre is more than justified in suing him. I tend to believe her accusations and if they are true than she does deserve compensation. Prince Andrew knew, or should have known, that she was underage and that she was a victim of trafficking. He had no business having sex with her. And he had no business using his proxies to attack her.
I always thought that Prince Andrew and the Royal Family were the biggest suspects in the death of Jeffrey Epstein. Yes, officially he killed himself, but nobody actually believes that. Many people think it was the Clintons, which is plausible, or the Trump family which is not, but I always thought that the Royals had the biggest reason to get rid of them.
As for the Epstein case itself, I don't think we will ever know the full extent of his sex ring. Some information is sure to come out during the Ghislaine Maxwell trial, assuming she lives of course, but after that I think there will still be some major questions. Most notably, I don't think we will ever find out for sure if Epstein was an intelligence asset or not. But regardless, his case has shown the dark side of the global political elite...
