2020 predictions.

As promised, this will be my predictions of what the new year is going to be like. I know it's a couple of days late but there was actually some big news this week and I didn't have a chance to do it until now.

As always when 2021 rolls around I will go through my predictions and see how good I did or how badly I messed everything up. I did 2019 in a previous post that you can find here. I didn't do well on my predictions largely because I was too pessimistic, 2019 was a pretty good year all things considered and I am thinking that 2020 will be as well. Anyways, lets get to it!

POLITICAL PREDICTIONS:

President Trump will not be removed from office, either by impeachment or other means.

Impeachment will either never be sent to the Senate or will be dismissed out of hand. There will not be a senate trial.

Joe Biden will be the eventual candidate for the Democratic Party.

However, there will be a brokered Democratic convention, which will cause major controversy.

President Trump will win reelection in 2020.

President Trump will also win the popular vote.

President Trump will also pick up at least one of the following states he lost in 2016: Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Maine, New Hampshire or Virginia.

U.S. Attorney John Durham will file charges against some big names before the end of the year.

President Trump's approval rating will be at or above his current approval rating via Rasmussen, 50%.

The media will declare Trump's opponent to be the winner of any debates held regardless of the performance of either side.

The Supreme Court case, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. City of New York, New York will end with a major win for gun rights supporters.

The economy will still be going strong.

WAR PREDICTIONS:

America will not be involved in a new war before the end of the year.

Tensions with Iran will actually improve.

Afghanistan will remain a mess and US troops will still be there.

There will not be a major terror attack in the western world that kills more than 100 people.

There will be a terror attack that kills at least 10 people in the western world.

The threat from Islamic terrorism will continue to decrease and the vast majority of attacks will be disorganized ones from lone wolves.

North Korea, Venezuela and Syria will not have major changes in their government or their relations with the world.

The Syrian war will end with no areas under control by rebel or jihadist factions, though some level of violence will continue.

The Mexican Drug war will continue to spiral out of control and will be seen as a major foreign policy challenge for the United States.

CULTURE PREDICTIONS:

Big tech will do whatever they can to try and ban and discredit conservative voices in the lead up to the 2020 election.

The GOP and government will do nothing about tech censorship.

People will be less tolerant of cancel culture and will start to reject it.

MeToo will be a spent force and totally irrelevant.

Antifa will make a resurgence but will disappear again outside of leftist areas of the country after the election is over.

Antisemitism will continue to increase both on the national level and internationally.

The Alt-Right will be a distant memory but conservatives in general will be more radical.

That's it for 2020. I hope most of the predictions are right though there are a few that I hope I am wrong about. As I said, I think 2020 will be a good year and that things will continue to get better, unless you are a Democrat in which case 2020 will not be fun. But even they will have to admit that the world is in a better place than it was around 2014 to 2017.
