The above video shows the aftermath of the fire at Brazil's national museum. It looks like the fire destroyed pretty much everything. As a student of history this kind of loss is heartbreaking for me as it means so much of Brazil's history is just completely gone. Brazil is a country with a rich and important history and to see it destroyed this way is just saddening.

Not much else to say on this one, just wanted to share the video. The BBC has more information in the tweet and video below. I am far from an expert on Brazil so I don't know if claims that the museum is underfunded or not but I am sure that this is a major tragedy.
