FBI sends evidence of criminal behavior by Hunter Biden to the US Attorney.

The FBI has sent evidence of criminal behavior by Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, to the US Attorney. CBS News. The FBI believes that they have enough evidence to arrest Hunter Biden on gun and tax charges. The information was leaked to the Washington Post and it was believed to be leaked because the FBI was slow walking the case. Hunter Biden has been under investigation since 2019. Much of the investigation focuses on his links to Ukraine and failure to pay taxes. 

My Comment:

I won't comment much about the tax charges because I am far from an expert on that area. I do believe that Hunter Biden was obviously corrupt and it would not surprise me if he was a tax cheat as well. Hunter has always been a screw up and it would not surprise me at all if he screwed up his taxes. How a prosecution there would work is beyond me. 

But what is obvious is that Hunter Biden lied on his background check. On the background check form you have to answer question 21e, where you are asked if you are an user or addict of illegal drugs. Lying about this is a felony and one that can lead to a punishment of 10 years. 

Hunter Biden obviously lied about this. Biden has been recorded on both film and video smoking crack and other drugs. I mean, there are enough pictures out there to prove in court that Hunter Biden is a drug addict and you really can't argue otherwise. In a sane world Biden would be arrested, convicted and imprisoned for his obvious criminal behavior. 

People are charged with lying on the background check form all the time. But why hasn't Hunter Biden? Because he is Joe Biden's son. You know damn well if it was one of Donald Trump's children, they would have been imprisoned by now. But Hunter Biden remains free. 

Will he be arrested? It's going to depend on the US Attorney. I can't imagine that with the evidence they have that they wouldn't charge him. But there are of course political considerations. I doubt anything would happen before the 2022 midterms. And even then I don't know if the US Attorney is willing to make Joe Biden his enemy. 

I also fear that this will be a token prosecution if it happens in order to justify a lot less justifiable prosecution (or more properly, persecutions) of the Trump family. They could say that they are investigating each side while instead only focusing on the Republicans. 

Either way, I don't know what will come of this. The fact that the FBI had to leak this means that they didn't think anything was going to happen. Though what they did was a crime, I am surprised that there was a single FBI agent with the integrity to actually do this. The country needs to know about any bias in the criminal justice system and they need to know if there is any connection between Hunter Biden's crimes and Joe Biden...
