Another terror attack has occurred in Tel Aviv Israel leaving two killed and seven wounded in a mass shooting. CBS News. The attacker opened fire at a crowded restaurant before fleeing and has not been captured. A manhunt is underway to try and locate and arrest the attacker. Israel has faced a wave of terror attacks recently with the most recent one being the fourth. There are fears that the attacks could lead to another war as last years attacks during Ramadan, which is also occurring now, lead to a short war.

My Comment:

Just a short update to an ongoing problem in Israel. This is the fourth attack in a couple of weeks and it's very concerning that the attacker was able to escape. That of course means that there could be follow up attacks or injuries and/or deaths in the police operations to apprehend the attacker.

I am surprised that the CBS article did not mention ISIS. In the other terror attacks it was said that the attackers were linked to ISIS, with one attacker having been arrested in the past for trying to join the group. It's unclear if this attack is related to the terror group or not, but it seems like the elephant in the room since at least a couple of the attacks were related to them if my memory serves.

It is important that the attack is occurring during Ramadan. Islam's holy month has long been a season of terror attacks. I think that means that there could be more terror attacks in both Israel and the greater world. Groups like ISIS thrive during Ramadan and they have an incentive to attack more people.

This attack was fairly minor but as a trend it's disturbing. It may even lead to war. These attacks are being launched from somewhere and there probably are terrorist supporters in Palestine that the Israelis may want to deal with. The last thing the world needs right now is yet another war but we may be seeing one shortly.
