Animation shows every air and artillery strike by the anti-ISIS coalition since 2014

It's not often that I link to the Daily Mail, but the above video was pretty cool. It shows every air and artillery strike since September of 2014. It begins with the battle of Kobane in Syria and ends on December 16th of last year, when the US stopped providing information on air and artillery strikes.

The video is fascinating because it shows how ISIS falls apart. In the beginning of the video strikes are happening throughout Syria and northern Iraq and by the end it's pretty much in the tiny pocket of desert that ISIS controls in the Syria/Iraq border.

It does have some political advocacy at the end where it implores the US to release more information about strikes, but at this point I don't think there is much of a point. The war against ISIS is all but over in Syria and is over in Iraq, so tracking the tiny amount of air and artillery strikes that are left is pretty stupid.

Anyways, I just wanted to share the video. It's pretty interesting and it's one of the few times that the Daily Mail dug something up that I wanted to look at.
