Jeffrey Epstein's associates names have been released.

The unredacted list of associates of Jeffrey Epstein has been released. Fox News. The names came from a lawsuit against Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell filed by one of their victims, Virginia Guiffre. Over 200 names had been redacted but a judge had ordered their release. Prince Andrew,  modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, billionaire Glen Durbin, and Limited Brands founder Lex Waxner. New names include magician David Copperfield, billionaire Tom Pritzker, music superstar Michael Jackson and former Senator George Mitchell. Notably both former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were mentioned but were not accused of any wrongdoing in the files released, though in a deposition by Epstein accuser Johanna Sjoberg said that Epstein told her that "Clinton liked them young".

The full document release can be found here, though it is a large file.

My Comment:

As expected there wasn't anything ground breaking here. There were a few new names and I don't think the accusations against Tom Pritzker and George Mitchell are new. Neither man is a household name, though Mitchell was the Senate Majority leader for the Senate as a Democrat. I think the mentions of David Copperfield and Michael Jackson are new as well, but neither of them were accused of abuse, though it seemed clear that Copperfield knew what was going on.

Many of the other names and accusations are well known. Indeed, I said that Prince Andrew, Bill Richardson and Alan Dershowitz were mentioned quite frequently. The accusations against the men were well known and it is not at all surprising that they came up again in this lawsuit.

What is notable is that there does not appear to be much about former Presidents Clinton and Trump. Clinton was certainly mentioned in the lawsuit many times but other than the comment about him liking girls that were young, there wasn't much there. And Donald Trump? Pretty much nothing other than Epstein saying he could get ahold of him and Sjoberg denying that she had anything to do with Trump.

Indeed, the expectation that Trump was going to be exposed by this lawsuit was always wish-casting bordering on slander. Trump did have some connections with Epstein but dropped him after he was hitting on young girls at Mar-A-Lago. Indeed, one of the lawyers representing the victims in this case said that Trump was the only person that offered to help the case.

As for the Epstein case itself, the real problem with it wasn't the trafficking and sex, it was the fact that Epstein was running a blackmail ring. Knowing who was affected by this ring is important but what is really important is who was running the blackmail ring. We know it was for an intelligence service but which one? CIA? Mossad? Some other group?

And given how many prominent people were blackmailed by this group we have to wonder what policy changes they put into place. We had a major governor, a Senate Majority leader and a President of the United States that we have to know were compromised. What were they made to do? And what about all the people in finance?

We will probably never know the answer to those questions. We will also probably never see any of the people named in these files get arrested. Indeed, it's a minor miracle that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were arrested at all. The whole thing is just too embarrassing for the powers that be...
