A federal judge blocks the deportation of the family of the suspect in the Boulder terrorism case.

People flee from a Molotov cocktail during the Boulder attack. Fox News.

A federal judge has blocked the deportation of the family of the suspect in the Boulder terrorism case. Fox News.  Mohamed Soliman's wife and five children were taken into custody by ICE officials after he was arrested for an attack on an pro-Israel march in Boulder Colorado. The man's wife, Hayem El Gamal, would have been sent back to Egypt if not for the actions of a Biden appointed judge. The judge argued that the deportation would cause "irreparable harm" and would prevent them from having a day in court. Both Soliman and his wife were in the country illegally on a visa overstay, though there was a pending asylum case. A hearing is scheduled for June 13th.

My Comment:

Yet another insane ruling from a federal judge. There is absolutely no reason to keep these people in the country. Not only are they here illegally, they could have been involved with the terror attack in Boulder. I don't believe that Soliman never told his wife what he was planning to do. This wasn't a spur of the moment attack either, Soliman planned it for a year!

There is pretty much zero chance that the family's asylum application will be approved now, why would it? And it's not like they would be under any real threat in Egypt. Indeed, they would be safer there as there is always the possibility of a harassment campaign against these people. Especially after this. There is an argument that the sins of the father shouldn't be passed on to his family, but I have seen zero evidence that his sins were his alone. They had to have at least known about what he was planning and I would not be surprised if they share his views on Jewish people.

I also don't believe that this case was brought "by a friend" of the wife. I am guessing that some pro-illegal immigration group provided the funds and support to try and get this in motion. Why? Because the Democrats whole strategy is lawfare right now. They have thousands of lawyers on call to file lawsuits against any policy President Trump tries to do.

I think this will backfire long term. A lot of these cases, this one especially, will likely end up in Trump's favor, but that's not the real problem. The real problem is that many of these injunctions are against policies that are extremely popular. Who on earth is going to defend the family of a terrorist, especially if it turns out they had knowledge of the attack? It's another 80/20 position to take by the Democrats and I can't imagine that folks aren't getting sick and tired of this kind of judicial interference. And given the antisemitic nature of this attack, it's going to be more reason for American Jews to leave the Democrats for good.

It, along with these other judicial injunctions, shows a major flaw of the American political system. The whole thing was designed so that political change has to be done slowly. The problem with that is that sometimes rapid change is needed and that time is now. The country was almost destroyed by the Biden presidency and it was absolutely clear we needed to chart a new path. But how can we do that when any federal judge with a grudge can overturn any policy the President puts into place? Not to mention a congress too incompetent to actually pass any critical legislation (but banning deepfakes was a top priority!).

The whole thing is demoralizing to say the least, and that is, of course, what the Democrats are going for. They want the normal folks in this country to just accept whatever nonsense they are selling and to not ask for anything better. It's depressing but like I said, I don't think it will work out in the end if they keep focusing on things like blocking the deportation of a terrorists family....
