President Trump threatens to pull funding from schools who use the New York Times developed 1619 project.

President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump threatened to pull funding from schools who use the controversial 1619 project in classrooms. Fox News. The project, created by the New York Times Magazine, argues that America's true history begins in 1619, when the first slave arrived in Virginia. President Trump responded to a user on Twitter that said California was adapting the project by saying he would have the Department of Education look into it and pull funding. The project won a Pulitzer prize but has been criticized for factual inaccuracy.

My Comment:
I don't have the time to go in depth with this one but I do think that this move is a critical one. Just like this weekend's move against critical race theory in government sensitivity classes, it's a move that is long overdue. The inaccuracies in the 1619 project are numerous and it in no way reaches the level of credibility to be taught in classrooms.

I also consider the 1619 project to be both racist and anti-American as it's main goal is to make out America to be a monster, when slavery was ubiquitous throughout the world at that point in time. Indeed, whatever the flaws with slavery, America fought a massive war over if it was right or not and slavery was eliminated afterwards.

The move should be a good one for President Trump. His supporters are livid at the indoctrination going on in the United States school system, as well as at colleges. The idea that children should be taught that not only is their country racist but they are as well, unless they are member of a certain race, is totally unacceptable. To be blunt, this is the kind of action I voted for and I am very glad it is happening.

It's sure to infuriate the left though, and for good reason. The only reason the left has any pull left at all is because they have captured America's institutions. If President Trump can reduce their power in the government bureaucracy and the schools it will damage them in the long term by a great deal. Indeed, the whole strategy of modern leftism is to divide people by race and if they can't get their propaganda out there, it will be much harder for them to do.

Unfortunately I don't have enough time to go more into depth on this issue. This topic deserves a much longer post but I just don't have the time tonight. Apologies for the short post, but I thought even a short post is better then no post at all.
