Conservative MP Lucy Allen has called for an investigation into the Telford grooming gang. Telegraph/PA.
As many as 1000 children have been caught up in Britain's worst child grooming scandal yet. Telegraph. Hundreds of children, including some as young as 11, were drugged, raped and abused over a 40 year period in the city of Telford. The allegations go back to the 1980's and authorities long ignored the problem. At least three murders and two other deaths have been linked to the same grooming gang. It is also alleged that the police knew about the grooming gang but did not want to be accused of being racist since the suspects were "Asian" Muslims.
My Comment:
What is happening in the UK? This is just the latest and largest of these Muslim grooming gangs raping, pimping and abusing large numbers of British girls. These gangs have been allowed to run amok for decades now and very little seems to be happening to prevent them.
Indeed, it seems like this is the cost of Britain's culture of political correctness. In the UK you can't point out that these gangs are mostly Muslim and that there could be downsides to unlimited immigration. Doing so is a sure way to get the UK police on you and get a decent chance of going to prison.
That is how backwards the priorities are in the UK. Pointing out that there are Muslim grooming gangs is hate speech but the government will look the other way to those very same grooming gangs.
I think the UK is a good example of the concept of Anarcho-Tyranny. Anarcho-Tyranny is a Paleo-conservative term that describes a state that enforces harsh laws on ordinary citizens while allowing criminals to run amok. In short, the state, either through incompetence or malice, does everything they can to punish law abiding citizens while doing nothing to protect them.
This seems like a very apt description of the UK today. The government doesn't do much to help the people who are being victimized by these horrible crimes, but they are willing to punish them, sometimes severely, if they have the temerity to ask for help. There is no excuse for this kind of situation going on for decades with everyone knowing about it and doing nothing to prevent it.
The UK is also doing a very bad job at integrating their Muslim immigrants. These kinds of sexual abuses are common in Pakistan and other sources of immigrants for the UK and it is clear that the culture doesn't change much when they come to the UK. That doesn't happen everywhere that Muslims immigrate to. For example in America, we have some problems, but nothing anywhere near the same that the UK has. Whatever they are doing over there isn't working like whatever we are doing here.
What could be done to fix this kind of thing? Well for one, the UK could import less immigrants from these countries. They already have a huge problem and they don't need to make it even worse by bringing even more of these people in. Unfortunately, even suggesting that as a solution could be considered a hate crime.
Another thing to do would be to crack down hard on these gangs. Doing so wouldn't be politically correct but it wouldn't be that hard to do. Indeed, some of these gangs have been broken up eventually. All it takes is police action and the will to ignore cries of racism when these people get arrested. It's not hard, you just need the political will to do so. I just don't know if that will exists in the UK right now...
A final option would be to relax Britain's insane gun laws. These gangs operate with impunity because they know that civilians can't do anything to prevent them from attacking children. If every one of the parents of these kids had a gun there is a decent chance that at least some of this crime would be prevented. I don't advocate vigilante justice but there would be some cases that would be very obvious cases of defense of others and those cases would have a chilling effect on these gangs.
I don't think any of these solutions will be implemented. People in the UK are so afraid of being called racist that they can't take any action that would actually help the problem. I think that the UK in general also has a problem with pedophiles in general, and not just among their minorities. It just doesn't seem like a priority over there...
