Biden announces $5.9 billion more for Ukraine...

Joe Biden has announced another $5.9 billion more for aid in Ukraine. Reuters. Of the aid, $3.4 billion will be economic aid. $1.25 billion will be immediate military aid drawn from US weapons stockpiles and will also include $1.22 billion in longer term military aid. The aid will be the last authorized under the 2024 security budget and should be the last money given to Ukraine under Biden. In total Ukraine has seen a staggering $175 billion in aid from the United States alone. It is unclear if President Elect Donald Trump will continue to send aid to Ukraine.

My Comment:

$175 billion. For what? A bunch of dead Ukrainians and Russians? The destruction of a huge amount of military equipment? For a war that is obviously going to end with a Russian victory? For a dramatically higher chance of a nuclear war? It's an absurd amount of money and there is essentially no reason why Ukraine should have gotten a single thin penny.

Can you imagine how much good that money could have done if it had been spent here? We could have rebuilt East Palestine Ohio, Lahaina Hawaii and all the areas ravaged by Hurricane Helene. We could have solved our homeless problem several times over. We could have built the wall and stopped illegal immigration. Sure, much of that aid was in equipment but you can't tell me that we didn't send billions of dollars in cold hard cash to Ukraine that could have been spent here.

And it's all for nothing! Russia is winning the war. They keep making steady advances and Ukraine is simply running out of troops. They have almost nothing left, once they start drafting the 18 year old men, which is happening soon, they will have no manpower well to draw from anymore. They are out of the western wunderwaffen to the point where even the ATACMS are being shepherded because they simply don't have the stockpiles anymore.

Instead of acknowledging the obvious, Biden is still doubling down yet again. And it's too the point where I don't think President Elect Trump is going to be able to do anything to stop the war. Putin won't listen anymore for obvious reasons, how could he trust Trump when in four years he is gone and any deal he makes could be overturned by whoever the new president is?

I just hope when Ukraine does fall, and it will, Biden is the one that gets the lion's share of the blame. This was his war and he's the one that decided it was more important to prop up a hopeless war in Ukraine than helping his own people. He's going to leave Trump holding the bag and I think they want him to be the fall-guy and I sincerely hope that folks don't fall for it.
