President Donald Trump.
President Donald Trump was evacuated from a Coronavirus briefing after Secret Service shot an armed person near the White House. MSNBC. After returning to the briefing President Trump informed the press that an armed person had been shot and that the suspect had been arrested and sent to a hospital. Law enforcement said that the suspect was a man and that the suspect was shot in the chest. Trump said he wasn't shaken by the incident and said "Do I look rattled?" to a reporter who asked him if he was, and then returned to the briefing.

Good work by the Secret Service taking this guy out. Though there was little chance of him succeeding in whatever the hell he was trying to do it's still a good thing that the Secret Service stopped him before he even got a shot off. It seems like he got pretty close to the White House but he was also stopped rather quickly.
I'm not going to speculate too much on who the suspect was and what they were trying to do. At this point it could be anything, from an assassination attempt, a terror attack or just a crazy person. Without any details, I don't think it's appropriate to say anything else. It's also unclear how much of a threat he actually posed, other than that he was armed. If all he had was a handgun then I doubt anyone outside of the police were threatened. But if he had a long gun it might have been a different story.
I will say though that President Trump handled this well. He projected an air of confidence after he returned and even said "Do I look rattled?" to a reporter. It reminded me of the time a protester tried to attack him and Trump looked like he wanted to fight the guy instead of being whisked away by the Secret Service. It's a good look for people who want a strong President.
Under normal circumstances I would say that this would probably garner quite a bit of sympathy for President Trump. After all, attacks on the White House are rare, though not unheard of, and if this had happened during the Obama administration I'd expect a lot of positive coverage. But because this is President Trump I'm half expecting the media to support the attacker and launch protests against the agent or officer that shot the suspect...
Sadly, this kind of thing isn't that uncommon anymore. Most Presidents have had assassination attempts (if that's what this is) and President Trump is no exception. He was even attacked by a very stupid man back when he was still running for office. Thankfully, since Kennedy, the Secret Service has been pretty good at preventing these kinds of attacks.
