Yazidi volunteers are training with the Kurds to fight ISIS. -Reuters.

Syrian Kurds are training hundreds of Yazidi volunteers to fight against ISIS. -Reuters. Most Yazidi refugees are content to stay in Syria where it is safer, but some are volunteering to fight. The newly trained recruits are sent back to the Singar mountains where they fight with the Kurds and other local forces. The effort highlights the role of Syrian Kurds in the conflict. America works closely with Iraqi Kurds but Syrian Kurds are receiving no such help. The Syrian Kurds are fighting ISIS as well as both sides of the Syrian Civil War and are one of the few groups to actually have success against ISIS.

My Comment:
I can't fault the bravery of these Yazidi, but I wonder if they are not being used. The Syrian Kurds have their own agenda for the reason and unleashing some very justifiably angry Yazidi militia on ISIS fits their goals. You have to wonder how these men will do with such little training. The Syrian Kurds are competent fighters and they have plenty of training, but sending militia into battle with as little as a couple of days training sounds like a recipe for disaster. But on the other hand I sure wouldn't want to fight people that have lost so much. All they have left is revenge. Talk about motivation.
