North Korea is desperate for attention. -Yahoo/AFP

Replicas of both North and South Korean missiles in Seoul. Yahoo/AFP

North Korea has conducted six missile and artillery tests in the past month. -Yahoo/AFP The tests resulted in international condemnation. North Korea accuses the international community of hypocrisy for not also condemning joint U.S./South Korea/Japan exercises. North Korea is sending mixed messages because they also wish for cooperation with South Korea for the Asian Games.

My Comment:
It's always the same old story with North Korea. A bunch of sound and fury signifying nothing. All while their people starve. They are desperate for sanctions to end and for international aid to resume and the only way they know how to do that is by threats and  intimidation followed by promises of cooperation and reconciliation, like their participation in the Asian Games.

The problem for the North Koreans is that nobody is paying attention right now. South Korea doesn't care all that much and the rest of the international community is distracted by the utter chaos in the Middle East and Ukraine. That could lead to danger if the North Koreans get so desperate that they try something really stupid but i doubt it. North Korea has been teasing war for decades now and they have never kept their word on any meaningful scale. My prediction is nothing will come from this for now.
