Australian involved in suicide bombing in Iraq. -Yahoo/AFP

The site of a recent suicide attack in Iraq. Yahoo/Reuters

An 18 year old Australian member of ISIS is suspected of a suicide bombing in Iraq. Yahoo/AFP The bomber, named Abu Bakr Al-Australi, killed several people including himself near a mosque in Baghdad. Up 150 Australians are suspected to be fighting for ISIS and other militant groups in Iraq and Syria.

My Comment:
You don't think of Australia when you think of potential terrorists but the conflicts in Iraq and Syria are drawing in disillusioned young Muslims from across the western world. Most of them are Europeans but a fair number are from Australia, Canada and the United States. The worry of course is that they will come home someday with there new skills and commit terrorist acts in their home countries. How probable is that? We all saw what happened with the Boston Marathon Bombing, so it's very possible. It wasn't the same conflict, but the principle is the same.
